This project was created for my entry into the Rookie Awards 2023 in the Game Development category.

I modeled and textured everything in this scene. My goal was to have a flexible modular building kit that would allow me to instantly swap small and large pieces of the houses and ruins. While gathering reference, I noticed that wattle and daub walls typically broke nicely into even squares. Instead of multiple unique walls and textures, I built wooden frames and separate daub pieces to fit in like Lego pieces. (You can see in the Asset video below) This method allows me to mix and match the pieces to add a lot more variation and quickly alter areas of noticeable repetition.
The scene was rendered in Unreal Engine 5.
